State Rep. Douglas Swearingen, Jr. | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative D.J. Swearingen has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Ohio House Judiciary Committee by House Speaker Matt Huffman. The announcement was made this week in Columbus.
Swearingen expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I look forward to continuing to drive good legislation alongside the members of the Judiciary Committee and use my expertise as we consider legislation that impacts Ohio’s justice and legal systems.”
In addition to his new position, Swearingen is a member of several other committees, including Arts, Athletics, & Tourism; Community Revitalization; and Public Insurance & Pensions.
