There were 99 Hispanic students enrolled in Woodmore Local Schools in the 2023-24 school year, the same number as the previous school year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Data showed that Woodmore Local Schools welcomed 948 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students made up 10.4% of the student body, making them the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

Woodmore Local Schools roughly covers three schools within Ottawa County and has its main office in Elmore.

Among the three schools in Woodmore Local Schools, Woodmore Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of 48 students.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. This marks an improvement for the state, especially compared to 2016, when the ratio reached its decade-high at 16.1 students per teacher.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
