4.3% of Huron County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Huron County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,234 people out of the 58,583 living in Huron County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Huron County has decreased compared to the 4.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Huron County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 27,255 people who had a job during that time, 20 were employed in the Armed Forces and 27,235 belonged to the civilian labor force.
