The Ohio House of Representatives has passed a resolution expressing unwavering support for the people of Israel and condemning recent attacks against the state. State Representative Dick Stein (R-Norwalk) stood with his colleagues in support of Israel, stating, "The unprovoked attacks by Hamas have left hundreds of innocent people dead. I pray for those who have witnessed unimaginable tragedies and extreme violence."

In addition to his support for Israel, Stein voted in favor of the Ohio Homeowners Relief Act, a legislative response to property tax increases. This act will modify the procedures used by the Tax Commissioner to conduct property tax sales assessment ratio studies. The bill will require the Commissioner to work alongside local elected officials and consider the past three years of a county's property values when determining property tax, rather than just one year.

Stein believes that the Ohio Homeowners Relief Act is a step in the right direction for providing relief to Ohioans in the 54th House District who may be facing historic property tax increases. He stated, "This legislation is crucial in ensuring that our residents are not burdened with excessive property taxes."

Another piece of legislation that Stein supports is the Innocence Act, which aims to create an age verification process to prevent minors from accessing online pornographic materials. The act also seeks to protect the privacy of both children and adults to prevent their image and likeness from being used in "deepfake" pornographic materials. Stein expressed his pride in co-sponsoring this legislation, stating, "I am proud to co-sponsor legislation that will protect our children from the dangers of pornography."

The Innocence Act is currently awaiting committee assignment, but Stein remains hopeful that it will move forward and provide much-needed protection for individuals and families in Ohio.

In summary, State Representative Dick Stein has shown his support for Israel, advocating for the people affected by recent attacks. He has also voted in favor of the Ohio Homeowners Relief Act, recognizing the need for property tax relief for Ohioans. Additionally, Stein is proud to support the Innocence Act, which aims to protect children and adults from the dangers of pornography.
