Former Genoa Area High School standout Sam Witt played on Thursday, May 15 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former Genoa Area High School standout Sam Witt’s current collegiate team the Ashland Eagles lost 3-7 against the Indianapolis Greyhounds in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex at 12 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Indianapolis Greyhounds in the tournament.

The Ashland Eagles’ next game will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.
