Bowling Green State University issued the following announcement.
BGSU Celebrates Masculinities Month
BGSU MEN SHARE THEIR PERSPECTIVES
In 2019, the Center for Violence Prevention and Education (CVPE) began recognizing November as Masculinities Month to:
Assist men on campus in identifying between healthy and unhealthy masculinities
Recognize and describe how gender roles, power and privilege play a role in what it means to be masculine
Be empowered to be an active bystander and identify various ways in supporting others.
To start the conversation, CVPE reached out to students, staff and faculty on campus and asked them to share their personal stories on how unhealthy masculinity has permeated their lives and impacted their relationships.
BGSU men on campus share their male perspectives and bring awareness to healthy masculinities, vulnerability, and personal values. Listen to these stories from students, faculty and staff!
