BGSU men on campus share their male perspectives and bring awareness to healthy masculinities, vulnerability, and personal values.  Listen to these stories from our Falcon Family!

Participants:

Brian Heilmeier, Associate Dean of Students for Campus Activities

Discusses being an undergraduate fraternity member and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Chet Hesson, Associate Athletics Director for Academics & Student Services

Discusses challenging relationships with his father and vulnerability as a man.

Gabe Dunbar, Design Your Life Coach

Discusses non-traditional gender roles within a family dynamic and healthy and empowered parenting.

Isiah Vazquez, BGSU Undergraduate Student

Discusses being a member of a fraternity at BGSU and practicing healthy and open communication with his brothers.

Jacob Clemens, Associate Dean of Students

Discusses relationships with students, specifically male students and demonstrating empathy.

Michael Brown, Manager of Guest Relations

Discusses personal childhood challenges and his personal path assisting young men in their journey to being REAL.

Nick Rybak, Prevention Specialist at The Cocoon

Discusses challenging masculinities because of his passion to be a social worker and help others.

Rob Snyder, Associate Professor and Chair, Library Teaching & Learning

Discusses feminine and masculine hobbies and how he uses crafts to aid in his parenting.

Robert Woodley, TRIO Educational Advisor            

Discusses his experience growing up with toxic masculinity and how he has switched the narrative as a parent and educator.

Sean Oros, Assistant Director of the Honors Learning Community

Discusses vulnerability and making it safe for others to do the same.
